La Banque Postale Asset Management announces several appointments to support its ambitions in conviction management

Further to the completion of its reorganization as a leading multi-specialist conviction manager in sustainable finance, La Banque Postale Asset Management (LBP AM) announces new appointments to support the development of its different areas of expertise.

  • Sebastian PARIS HORVITZ (58 years old) is the newly designated Research Director

After 6 years at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), in 1999, he joined AXA Investment Managers, where he became the Chief Investment Strategist. He then joined HSBC Private Bank Switzerland as chief market strategist for the EMEA region and headed the Discretionary asset management department.
Reporting to Vincent Cornet – Chief Investment officer, Sebastian's mission is to manage the research team, which aim is to provide fast and in-depth top-down and bottom-up analysis on market developments, as to support the asset management in order to enhance performance and ensure consistency. He will also support clients by providing insightful views on economic and market developments. He took up his new position in December 2020. Sebastian holds postgraduate diplomas from Université Paris-IX Dauphine and ENSAE.

  • Alvaro RUIZ-NAVAJAS (44 years old) is appointed Asset Manager

Alvaro RUIZ-NAVAJAS received his PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester. He began his career in 2001 as a financial systems development consultant at GIZ before joining Fortis Investments as an analyst in 2007. In 2009, he joined BNP Paribas where he worked for two years as an analyst and then as a portfolio manager. Specialized in the energy and utilities sectors, he worked on global
funds with an SRI slant, including one focused on the energy transition.
Alvaro took up his new position in January 18th and will manage the climate theme funds

  • Céline KARSENTY (38 years old) joins the Real and Private Assets Department, as Head of Portfolio Management

Céline Karsenty is a graduate of Paris-Dauphine University and ESSEC. She started her career at HSBC in 2007 in Mergers & Acquisitions. In 2014, she joined the Structured Finance team to manage the LBO, Project and Export finance portfolios. She joined LBP AM's Real and Private Assets team in October 2020 and is in charge of monitoring private debt portfolios.

  • Julie SAING (38 years old) joins the Real and Private Assets Department, as Real Estate Debt Manager

Julie Saing is a graduate from Paris Dauphine. She began her career at HSBC in 2006 within the risk department, then joined the LBO financing team in 2008. She then moved into the real estate sector, joining the real estate structured finance team in 2014 as Associate and then Associate Director in 2017. She joined LBP AM in October 2020 and reports to Pierre Saeli.
